The Ravencroft Institute for the Criminally Insane, also called the Ravencroft Sanitarium, is an institution for those too dangerous to live among normal society.
History[]
When Eddie Brock was arrested, he rambled on about being bonded to a symbiote. Because of this, everyone thought that Eddie Brock was insane, and he was sent to Ravencroft.
Cletus Kasady was later arrested and was also put in Ravencroft.
The head psychologist was Dr. Ashley Kafka and she treated both Eddie Brock and Cletus Kasady.
Dr. Kafka didn't believe Brock's story about being Venom and tried to convince him that it was all in his head.
Baron Mordo later re-bonded Brock to the symbiote turning him into Venom again. Venom then escaped Ravencroft. Mordo also gave Kasady another symbiote which turned him into Carnage. Carnage also escaped Ravencroft.
Brock later decided that he didn't want to be bonded to the symbiote anymore, so he kidnapped Dr. Kafka and brought her to Ravencroft. While there, Brock asked Dr. Kafka to help him separate from the symbiote.
