Mysterio is a villain that uses illusions in his crimes. This version of Mysterio appeared in the video game Spider-Man 2.

History[]

Quentin Beck was a special effects expert.

Beck challenged Spider-Man to a friendly competition and the two of them fought in a stadium full of people. However, Spider-Man was able to defeat and humiliate Beck.

Sad and angry at his humiliation, Beck later took the identity of Mysterio (who in this game pretended to be an alien from another planet as part of his act) and attacked people at an auditorium which caught the attention of Spider-Man.

Spider-Man quickly arrived at the auditorium and was able to rescue Mysterio's hostages. However, after the hostages were saved Mysterio revealed to Spider-Man that he sent several robots to attack the Statue of Liberty. Spider-Man was able to stop this attack.

Mysterio later lured Spider-Man to his "Fun House of Doom" and puts Spider-Man through several challenges such as duplicates of Spider-Man in the mirrors. Spider-Man is able to beat Mysterio's challenges. However, Mysterio was able to escape.

Mysterio was later caught by Spider-Man robbing a convenient store. However, Spider-Man was easily able to defeat him. Mysterio was then arrested.
