Curt Connors is a scientist for S.H.I.E.L.D. that created several advanced technologies. After the loss of his arm, Dr. Connors took a serum that turned him into the Lizard. As the Lizard, he was an unwilling member of the Sinister Six. This version of Lizard appeared in the Ultimate Spider-Man television series.

History[]

Great Responsibility[]

When Nick Fury first introduced Spider-Man to Curt Connors, Connors told Spider-Man that he had followed his career closely and that he was impressed. When Spider-Man became a S.H.I.E.L.D. superhero in training, Dr. Connors and his team of scientist created several spider themed weapons for him.

Me Time[]

During a battle with Doctor Octopus, Spider-Man broke off one of his mechanical arms and later gave it to Curt Connors to study.

Awesome[]

Curt Connors told Spider-Man that he had an open door policy at his laboratory on the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier and that if he ever needed anything just to ask him.

Snow Day[]

Curt Connors appeared in Spider-Man's fantasies where he and other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were seen partying on a tropical island.

The Iron Octopus[]

After Spider-Man was attacked by an Octobot, he was able to break off one of it's mechanical arms and gave it to Curt Connors. Dr. Connors compared it to the other arm Spider-Man gave him and was able to deduce that it was created by his old friend, Dr. Otto Octavius.

Doctor Octopus then attacked the helicarrier and Dr. Connors was shocked to see him wearing a suit of armor with four mechanical arms coming out of his back. As Doctor Octopus attacked the lab, Curt Connors, Norman Osborn, and Harry Osborn his while Spider-Man and Nick Fury fought him. Iron Man then arrived and helped Spider-Man defeat Doctor Octopus.

Rise of the Goblin[]

When Green Goblin attacked the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier, Curt Connors' right arm was crushed by falling debris. This caused Dr. Connors to lose all movement in his right arm. Green Goblin then stole a glider and shock gloves from Connors' laboratory and used the weapons to attack Spider-Man, Power Man, Nova, Iron Fist, and White Tiger.

As Green Goblin caused the helicarrier to crash into the water, Curt Connors and the other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents managed to make it to safety.

Dr. Connors later had his right arm amputated.

The Lizard[]

Sometime later, Spider-Man and S.H.I.E.L.D. found Doctor Octopus and tried to capture him but, he got away. Despite this, S.H.I.E.L.D. was able to obtain Doc Ock's experimental DNA compounds. The DNA compunds were then given to Curt Connors.

Later on, Dr. Connors showed Spider-Man the DNA compounds and Spider-Man saw that they were animal DNA. Curt Connors then told Spider-Man that he believed the animal DNA could heal a damaged human body. However, Spider-Man told Curt Connors that Doc Ock's genetic tampering was far too dangerous. Spider-Man then accidentally activated Doctor Octopus' security system and was trapped under falling debris. Dr. Connors was unable to move the debris so, he injected himself with Doctor Octopus' lizard DNA. The lizard DNA allowed Curt Connors to a giant lizard arm and he was able to lift the debris off of Spider-Man. Spider-Man and Curt Connors were then attacked by several Octobots and they worked together to destroy them. However, Connors injected himself with more lizard DNA which caused him to mutate into a humaniod lizard. The Lizard told Spider-Man that if Doctor Octopus is the only one that could perfect his change he must find him. Lizard then leaped through a hole in the ceiling.

Minutes later, Spider-Man caught up with Lizard and told him that he needed to go back to the helicarrier to see a doctor. Spider-Man also told Lizard that it would be impossible to find Doctor Octopus. However, Lizard used his now heightened sense of smell to track down Doctor Octopus. Lizard then went into the sewer to search for him.

Spider-Man eventually caught up with Lizard and saw him talking to Doctor Octopus. Lizard demanded that Doctor Octopus perfect the lizard serum so that it could regrow limbs but not turn people into giant lizards. However, Doctor Octopus refused and Lizard attacked him. Spider-Man managed to save Doctor Octopus but, Lizard captured him in his tail. Lizard threw Spider-Man across the room. Spider-Man then trapped the Lizard in his webbing. Lizard was easily able to escape the webbing and attacked Spider-Man. Lizard then attacked Doctor Octopus and ripped his mechanical arms out of his back. Lizard nearly killed Dock Ock but was stopped by Spider-Man.

Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus then started to work together to defeat the Lizard. By working together, Spider-Man and Doctor Octopus were able to trap Lizard in a giant safe. However, the safe was unable to hold the Lizard and he broke out. Doctor Octopus then betrayed Spider-Man and left him alone to fight Lizard. Spider-Man led Lizard on a chase through New York City until he go to Doctor Octopus' old laboratory where White Tiger, Nova, Power Man, and Iron Fist were waiting for them. While Lizard fought the other heroes, Spider-Man used Doctor Octopus' lab to create an antidote to the lizard serum. Spider-Man then injected Lizard with the antidote and it transformed back into a human.

The Rhino[]

Lizard is briefly seen when Spider-Man remembers all the supervillains that beat him up.

The Sinister Six[]

While Spider-Man and his team were working on a training exercise, Spider-Man received a video message from Curt Connors telling him to come to Doctor Octopus' underwater laboratory because he found something he should see.

As Spider-Man arrived at the underwater base, he saw Curt Connors held captive by Doctor Octopus. Spider-Man was then attacked by Doctor Octopus, Kraven the Hunter, Rhino, Beetle, and Electro. Doctor Octopus then electrocuted Curt Connors which caused him to transform into the Lizard which made him the final member of the Sinister Six. Lizard and the other members of the Sinister Six then tried to kill Spider-Man. As Spider-Man was subdued, Doctor Octopus ordered Lizard to remove Spider-Man's mask. However, Spider-Man was able to get away.

As the Sinister Six looked for Spider-Man, they split up. Spider-Man then attacked Lizard and webbed him to a wall. Lizard was able to break free from the webbing and he attacked Spider-Man. Doctor Octopus ordered Lizard to remove Spider-Man's mask. As Lizard was about to take off the mask, he paused. Lizard then told Doctor Octopus that he would not remove the mask because Spider-Man was his friend. This angered Doctor Octopus and he electrocuted Lizard. Kraven the attacked Lizard. During this time, Spider-Man was able to escape.

Lizard and the Sinister Six then tracked Spider-Man to the Statue of Liberty. Spider-Man grabbed Lizard's tail and swung him around and hit the other members of the Sinister Six. While the S.H.I.E.L.D. heroes fought the Sinister Six, Spider-Man webbed up Lizard. Lizard soon escaped. However, the device Doctor Octopus was using to electrocute malfunctioned and Lizard went after Doctor Octopus. Lizard ended up fainting and Spider-Man defeated Doctor Octopus. Only seconds later, Lizard awoke and escaped into the sewer.

Stan By Me[]

Sometime later, Lizard broke into Midtown High School at night time and began to steal some equipment and even kidnapped Phil Coulson. As Spider-Man searched for Coulson, he was attacked by the Lizard. After a brief fight, Lizard took Harry Osborn who was with Spider-Man in the school.

Spider-Man then followed Lizard into a tunnel underneath the school and was attacked by the Lizard. However, Lizard was blinded from the light of two flashlights that were held by Mary Jane Watson and Stan, the Midtown High School janitor. Lizard then ran off. However, Lizard returned only seconds later and grabbed Mary Jane and ran off again.

Spider-Man and Stan tracked Lizard to the school's maintenance room. As Spider-Man attempted to save Mary Jane, he was attacked by the Lizard. As Spider-Man and Lizard fought, Mary Jane was saved by Stan. Spider-Man was then able to get Phil Coulson and Harry Osborn to safety.

Spider-Man then saw that Lizard was building some kind of machine. Spider-Man was able to deduce that the machine wouls be used to modify his brainwaves to keep his mind from totally turning into a reptile brain. Stan and Coulson were able to force Lizard into the machine and Spider-Man turned it on. However, Lizard revealed that the machine was actually designed to remove Curt Connors from his brain so that he could stay the Lizard. As Lizard fought Spider-Man, a fire started and Spider-Man got Mary Jane and Coulson to safety while Stan stayed behind and fought Lizard. Stan was able to knock out Lizard and got to safety.

Return of the Sinister Six[]

Spider-Man found Lizard, who was wearing a battle armor, in the sewers and follows him. Spider-Man got cornered by the Lizard but, Norman Osborn in the Iron Patriot armor arrived and began to shoot at Lizard. After a brief fight, Lizard escaped. As Spider-Man looked around the sewer, he found a formula written on the wall by Lizard and when he got back to the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier discovered that Curt Connors found a way to reverse his mutation.

Lizard and the Sinister Six then attacked a prison which drew the attention of Spider-Man and his team. As with the Lizard before, all members of the Sinister Six had high-tech armor supplied to them by Doctor Octopus. Lizard and the other members of the Sinister Six then attacked Spider-Man. Iron Patriot, Iron Fist, White Tiger, Nova, and Power Man then arrived and helped Spider-Man fight the Sinister Six. Each hero fought one member of the Sinister Six. Spider-Man was the one that attacked Lizard. As Lizard crawled inside the prison, Spider-Man followed him.

While inside the prison, Lizard attacked Spider-Man. Their fight led back outside and Lizard was able to pin Spider-Man to the ground. As Doctor Octopus was about to inject Norman with the Goblin Formula, Spider-Man broke free from Lizard's grasp to try and stop him. However, Spider-Man was captured by Doctor Octopus. Spider-Man was able to break free from Doctor Octopus' grasp but Lizard attacked Spider-Man. Spider-Man was able to inject Lizard with the formula which turned him back into a human.

Connors then revealed to Spider-Man and Agent Venom that Rhino was being held on the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier and that he tried to cure him, but his transformation appeared to be irreversible. A short while later, Rhino escaped the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier.

During a battle with Rhino, Agent Venom was injured and Spider-Man took him to the S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier where Curt Connors looked after him.

Lizards[]

When Nick Fury went on a secret mission, he left Curt Connors in charge of S.H.I.E.L.D. in his absence.

Spider-Man knew that Doctor Octopus had a spy at S.H.I.E.L.D. and when a robot malfunctioned and tried to kill Spider-Man, the Web Warriors began to suspect that Curt Connors was Doctor Octopus' spy. Spider-Man did not want to believe that Connors could be the mole. However, when Spider-Man, Kid Arachnid, and Scarlet Spider went to the laboratory they saw Dr. Connors inject himself with the lizard DNA and transform into the Lizard. Lizard then attacked the three heroes. Lizard was then webbed to the ground but managed to bite Kid Arachind. The bite then caused Kid Arachnid to transform into a lizard creature himself. Lizard managed to escape the webbing and also bit Scarlet Spider which turned him into a giant lizard. The three lizards then chased down Iron Spider and Spider-Man.

Soon after, Iron Fist and White Tiger were bitten and turned into lizards. Several other residents on the helicarrier followed.
