The Brooklyn Bridge is a hybird cable-stayed/suspension bridge in New York City and is one of the oldest bridges of either type in the United States. Completed in 1883, it connects Manhattan and Brooklyn by spanning the East River. It has a main span of 1,595.5 feet and was the first steel-wire suspension bridge constructed. It was originally referred to as the New York Bridge and the East River Bridge.

Once a film crew was filming a car chase scene at the Brooklyn Bridge. The scene invilved explosions and the special effects man, Quentin Beck, made one of the explosions more powerful than it needed to be and it damaged the rotor of a helicopter. As the helicopter landed on the bridge Spider-Man arrived and saved the pilot before the helicopter exploded. Spider-Man then captured Beck and handed him over to the police.
One year later Beck was released from prison and then took the identity of Mysterio to take revenge on Spider-Man. Mysterio then lured Spider-Man to the Brooklyn Bridge and they fought eachother. However, Mysterio was able to defeat Spider-Man sending into the river below. Sometime later Spider-Man was able to track down Mysterio where he defeated him and then handed Mysterio over to the police.
